  A visit to our Orthopedic Clinic is often the follow up to an injury that requires immobilization of the injured limb or limbs by applying a cast or splint. Sometimes a cast change is required if the injury needs longer to heal. We have wheelchairs, crutches, knee scooter, knee immobilizer, CAM boots, splints, slings, neck braces and more available for our patients.

• Emergency Room / Trauma Center
  You awake from an accident in our ER strapped to a backboard, your head, neck and body immobilized. Our Trauma Team works quickly to assess the extent of your injuries and to get you stabilized. A trauma physical exam is a head-to-toe assessment that typically includes Removing all your clothing to perform a full assessment. Ensuring you have an open airway while keeping your cervical spine stable. Assessing your breathing and vitals. Checking for hemorrhage and controlling it if necessary. Checking for lacerations, abrasions, foreign objects, deformities, and unstable bones.
  Evaluating your mental status. In the ER It is a blend or triage and treatment.

• Operating Room for minor surgical procedures
  Your Doctor has determined you need a minor operation. You are taken to the OR and preped for surgery. The Anesthesiologist gives you something to help you relax. Your Surgical team doned in surgical gowns, caps, masks, shoe-covers and sterile gloves begins the operation.

• Dentist's Office for cleaning, check-up
  A visit to your Dentist and his assistant has you feeling the metal instruments against your teeth as their gloved hands hold your mouth open.

• Physical therapy intake and/or appointment
  Your Doctor has prescribed Physical Therapy to help you recover from your injuries. Your initial appointment requires multiple mobility tests, strengthening exercises, e-stim, massage, and ice down.

• Overnight hospital stay (round-the-clock care)
  After being admitted to the hospital, your vitals are taken and charted. You are cared for round the clock by our dedicated staff of Doctors and Nurses. Our Dietician prepares meals unless you are NPO. Your health care team checks on you regularly, changing your IV, emptying your urine collection bag and running any needed tests.

• Psychiatric detention
  You've been placed in a mental health facility against your will. After a series of mental and physical testing while being restrained to a table, you are placed in a straight jacket and restraints. Our staff medicates and evaluates you daily. When will you be released back into society?

• Prison Infirmary for inmate intake and physical exam
  Your incarceration begins with you being strip searched, your clothes and personal items cataloged and bagged. You undergo a cavity search by some rough, gloved guards before being given an orange jumpsuit, fingerprinted and mug shots. Then you are taken to the Infirmary stripped again for a thorough examination by the prison’s Doctor who really doesn't seem to have much sympathy or bedside manner for jail birds.

  A rectal exam is a medical test that checks for abnormalities in your rectum, anus and prostate gland. Your healthcare provider will put on gloves and apply lubricant before gently sliding their index finger into your rectum. A male urology exam, also known as a male genitourinary exam, is a physical exam that focuses on the urinary tract region. It may include a genital exam where the Doctor will check for abnormalities or masses in the genital area. Also a Digital rectal exam (DRE) where the Doctor will insert a lubricated, gloved finger into the rectum to feel the prostate for lumps or bumps The doctor may also examine the abdomen, flank, inguinal/hernia area, and lymph nodes.
